The Legacy of Divinity
The Divinity series is widely praised and it's fair to claim it pioneered the modern wave of deep computer role-playing games. These games are known for intricate stories, player agency, and deep class systems—elements that later reached new heights in games like Baldur's Gate 3.
While its setting is familiar fare, what truly sets Divinity apart is the remarkable agency granted to the player.

The series is also notoriously permissive, letting players to improvise both in story and combat. Most missions can be solved in multiple ways, sometimes in unexpected fashion.
